Woodworking shop interior with tools and lumber

Baraboo, Wisconsin

Every piece we make
carries the grain of
its origin.

Custom furniture, cabinetry, and woodworking — handcrafted in Baraboo for over two decades. We don't build to catalogue; we build to your specification, your material, your timeline.

What We Do

Furniture and fixtures
built for real life.

From dining tables that become the heart of a family room to kitchen cabinets that outlast a remodel or two — every commission begins with a conversation and ends with a piece you can rely on.

About

Two decades
of honest work.

K. Welsh Woodworks is a family-run shop on 3rd Avenue in Baraboo. What started as one person with a table saw and a commitment to doing things right has grown into a full-service workshop serving homeowners, designers, and businesses across southern Wisconsin.

Every project — whether a single chair or a complete kitchen — receives the same attention to joinery, fit, and finish. We source domestic hardwoods and reclaimed materials whenever possible, and we don't pretend that hand-built means cheap. It means built to stay.

The Craft

The material decides
the outcome.

We don't fight the wood. White oak moves differently than maple; walnut carries its own story; reclaimed barn wood has already settled once and won't settle again. Good work means listening to what the material is willing to do and designing with it, not against it.
